New year, new blog host

I know it’s been way too long since I posted here. I guess I’ll start with the most important news first. Christian James Lee Weirick was born on October 19. He weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and 21 inches long. He was born with a cleft lip which was fixed just last Wednesday, January 9. All went well with the surgery and he was allowed to come home that day. His stitches did get infected though and we had to take him to the emergency room to get antibiotics for it. He gets his stitches taken out this Thursday. Other than that all seems to be going good and I’m very happy to be a daddy. :D

As for the money troubles I mentioned last post. Alicia is still on maternity leave due to complications arising after the pregnancy, but  money isn’t as much of a problem because I have full-time job working at PPG. Money is still tight but we have enough to pay the bills. God gave me the job at just the right moment.  I have a lot to be thankful for, and life is going really well for me and my family.

If you didn’t notice I moved my blog, again. I decided that weblogs.us was just not the right product for me at this time and wordpress.com seems to fit my needs for the moment. I’m still writing in my spare time and will hopefully post more soon.

Congratulations on the baby and job. It’s good to hear that you all are doing well. Is Alicia doing better now, or are her complications worsening?

We’ve had some security issues (hopefully resolved now) over at Weblogs.us, which were keeping JD and myself busy late last year. One thing I need to let you know is if you do not plan on using your Weblogs.us account, you should let JD know that. He’s on vacation in Hawaii with his girlfriend right now, so he won’t be able to respond to anything for a while.

Yeah I know. When I get over to my mom’s next I’m going to clean out the files on my account and put up a temporary redirect. I planned on emailing him then to tell him that I don’t need the account any more and thanking him for the time that he let me use his servers.

I should note to anybody reading this that I have nothing against Weblogs.us and in fact plan on still donating to them when I get the chance. They are a great service, just not what I need right now and I feel that my inability to keep up with my software updates will be more of a harm to the service than a good so I decided to take my leave.

As for Alicia, her problems are not getting worse, but aren’t really getting better either. The doctor has a few idea’s of what could be wrong, but still needs to do more tests to see what is going on. As it looks right now she is more than likely going to need surgery of some kind, and probably a hysterectomy. I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we know exactly what is going on.
